Hi everyone, welcome to my blog.Today I will be writing about the Fruit of the Spirit – Joy.  Most people think that the pursue of happiness will complete them, but honestly, it is the pursue of joy; but most are pursuing it in all the wrong places.  We can find it joy right on the inside of us…. let’s learn how to pull it out from in us.  But make sure you check out the previous post on the fruit of the Spirit – Love, it is the parent of all the fruits.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-25).

Let’s explore the Fruit of the Spirit – Joy

All the other fruits of the Spirit, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control flow from love.  Without love, they could not be perfectly fine tuned; like missing a keynote in an instrument.  They all work together, and the more we walk in the Fruit of the Spirit – Joy, we mature and grow in the Spirit, we learn how to yield to the Holy Spirit in everything we do, falling more in love with God; getting to know who He is, and who we are.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.James 1:2,3

How do we count it all joy while we’re going through trials and tribulations, when we are hurting or feel like we’re being attacked? The same way we ride on the blessings of God.  How did Jesus do it?  Jesus counted on God His entire life, His human life, He knew to stay focused on the Father.  He counted on the promise that if He gave His life for us, that He would raise him up on the third day, that His death, burial and resurrection would be the atonement for us – that faith and trust in the Father strengthened Him to endure the cross (that strength is Joy); looking unto Jesus, the author and finish… who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame.Examine this closely, Jesus took the promise, disregarded everything that was happening to Him (the shame) – to obtain the promise.  This promise was on His heart when He was led in the wilderness and tempted by the devil; the devil took Him on a high mountain and said, “all that you see I will give you if you serve me”.  Two things here, maybe more… Jesus knew the devil was a liar and that everything in the earth and all its fullness was God’s.  But sometimes in the middle of our trials, we forget about the promises and look to other things to get us through.  We believe what we feel and see is our lot in life.

We have a new home in the kingdom of God and He has given us everything needed to live – right now, today….

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. 2Pet. 1:3,4 NLT

Fill your heart with the Word of God, with the promises of God, and start rejoicing, singing, dancing, praising and worshipping God, and watch sorrow, dread, pain, sickness, and all the infirmities of this world fall away from you.  The word is power and the promises are yes and amen (done).

Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith – it is through Him (His completed work on the cross) that has already been obtained with His blood.  Our rejoicing, our praise, our worship trusting God and who He is, will usher in the promise that has already been fulfilled, waiting on us to grab ownership, it’s our inheritance. It is this faith in Jesus where the Holy Spirit is free to produce enormous joy to flow out of us.

Your rejoicing is an outward expression of your inward joy.

If you believe the Word of God, by faith, shout and dance your way to the promise.  The joy of the Lord is your strength; even when the solution is not yet manifested, your rejoicing insures it, it breaks the chains of pain and suffering. worrying and doubt.  You too like Peter, can walk on water – look at Jesus and not the turbulence around you.  See things from the Kingdom’s (God’s) point of view – which is ushering in the Spirit of Goodness; know that you are a child of God – this will usher in the Spirit of peace which will guard your heart and mind.  You see, you have all of the fruit of the Spirit working together.  Once you step out in faith, God got you, Holy Spirit got you… But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you, John 14:26.

Hope sees the promise and Joy is the chariot that takes us it.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Heb. 11:1

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? 1Thess. 2:19

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope; 1Tim. 1:1
